Ryan King, Pastor
Ryan King came to a realisation that he was a sinner and trusted in Christ for salvation at a young age, calling out to Jesus to forgive him in the car park of a rural petrol station. Coupled with that conversion came a calling to proclaim Christ and lead his people as a pastor in a missionary context.
A part of the February 2004 library-hall church plant that ultimately became Grace Baptist Church Wood Green, Ryan became assistant pastor of the church in September 2010. After several years of involvement in church planting, evangelism, and local church ministry, Ryan became pastor of Grace Baptist Church in October 2013. Alongside his normal responsibilities as pastor of the church, Ryan works with the Grace Baptist Partnership and Euro Evangelism, co-chairs the Parkside Malvern Residents Association, and coordinates the Sunrise Neighbourhood Watch. When he has free-time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading books, watching films, exploring the city. He studied theology at Highland Theological College – University of the Highlands and Islands in Dingwall, Scotland, completing his degree with a dissertation on the early English Baptist contribution to religious liberty of conscience. He is married to Uliana, whom he met while speaking at an Effective Evangelism Conference sponsored by Euro Evangelism in Ukraine.
Charles Efedua, Elder
Charles Efedua was born in Lagos, Nigeria. Charles was raised in a nominal Christian (with a strong leaning towards Roman Catholicism) home. Following personal sin in his life, Charles found himself broken, lost, and needing an answer to the dilemmas and questions in his life. Through the providence of God, Charles was steered towards the Scriptures and through the preaching of the gospel at Grace Baptist Church Wood Green, the Lord graciously opened his heart and brought him to repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In June 2010, Charles followed the Lord in baptism and has been a member of Grace Baptist Church Wood Green since then. After several years of serving the church in various ways, Charles was recognised as an elder by the church in the first part of 2016 and ministers with Pastor Ryan and the saints in Wood Green in seeking to see the name of Jesus known in that area. Charles is married to Nneoma and they have one son, Ezeora.
