Introducing

the Grace Baptist Church
Dorchester

“By grace you have been saved through faith,
and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

The Holy Bible   : Ephesians 2: verses 8,9

------------------------------------
The Grace Baptist Church meeting at Dorchester is made up of ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds.

We believe that the Bible is God’s word and is relevant for our day. Its central message is good news about Jesus Christ the Son of God (the Gospel).  He was sent into the world to be the  ‘Saviour’ of all who would believe in Him. In Him we find a purpose in life and security, even beyond the grave!

God, as Creator has a rightful claim on the lives of all men and women.

All are sinners. We have all disobeyed God’s laws and rebelled against Him.

God - because He is holy and just, must condemn and punish our sins. However, in His love and mercy He sent Jesus into the world to save sinners from their sins and the awful consequences of sin - separation from God forever (i.e. hell).

Jesus lived a perfect life, suffered and died, nailed to a cross, to pay the penalty for the sins of those who, by God’s grace believe in Him and repent of their sins.
God calls men and women now to turn from all they know to be sinful and wrong and receive His free forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.

Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” The Holy Bible: Isaiah 55: verse 6
